Trends

trend: n. the general course or prevailing tendency; style

I think I might've started one.... kinda. First, I convinced Kyle and Joyce to, at least, bleach their hair. Last year, if you didn't know, I bleached and dyed half of my hair red. I did it again this year but it's pretty much faded now. This girl in my class named Leticia told me last week that she wanted to try it 'cause it looked cool. Last night, I received a picture from Joelle..

By the way, try this simple shrimp recipe. I cooked some today and they were amaaaazinggg!! xD

Sleepless In California

Ash Wednesday: n. the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance

Photobucket

Last night I went to bed around 1:30a.m. A crap load of things were running through my head so for about 3-4 hours of that night, I was tossing and turning! I tried coming up with different ways to put myself to sleep. I did my best to stop thinking, which didn't work at all. I tried listening to soft music in my iPod and used the bathroom hoping that that was the solution. I told myself I could've been watching two movies. Thennnn... I started counting sheep.

NOTHING WORKED!! D=

I just came back from The Pajama Game practice an hour ago and took the picture you see above. As you can see, there is no ash on my forehead. =/
I also don't know what to give up.
...Help?

Irresistible.

food: n. any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk, or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life, provide energy, promote growth, etc.

I seriously need to stop spending my money on food. Since it's Ash Wednesday, Joyce and I decided to eat pho.. I ordered seafood for my first time. I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the chicken noodle (pho) or the bbq pork vermicelli but it sure filled me up. Before we went out to get pho, I took out some change from my card by buying something cheap.... Chester's Fries.

Thoughts Lingering Through My Brain

prodigious: adj. extraordinary in size, amount, extent, degree, force, etc.

Photobucket
I must be a mere object spending more than a sheer effort of my time for something I believe is great.
Now, I'm wondering if it's worth it.

I'm trying to sound knowledgeable and I hope it's working. x]

Ergghhh.. 4 more not-so-torturous months of school.
Boy, does time fly!
Next thing you know, I'm 21. =/

I haven't the slightest idea of what to do anymore in this situation.
I'm caught in a love triangle.

No More.

assume: v. to take for granted or without proof; suppose

Photobucket
These past few years I've been having some issues. I tend to assume and over-analyze more than usual.
I've held myself back from so many opportunities. Sometimes I make the most tiniest things into a big deal.
Well, I say, "No more!".

On another note, Earvin just told me that he's been influenced by the style of my music! How awesome is that??
I don't even know what kind of style I have!

The Pajama Game!

The Pajama Game: n. A broadway musical, which was also made into a movie. Find it at Hollywood Videos.

Yesterday was the call-back audition for the lead characters, ensemble dancers and ensemble actors/actresses. I was called back for two leading characters, Gladys and Mabel, and ensemble actresses. I was prepared to sing Gladys and Mabel's songs but I was no where near ready for the scene auditions. I had to act out Gladys, Mabel, Poopsie, Brenda, and Mae.
That was more than a handful of characters! D:

It's been about 3-4 years since I've done this whole auditioning-for-a-musical sort of thing... and you can bet I was nervous! I was freeeeeezing my ass off too! My toes went numb while I was in the auditorium.
So... During the auditions, I felt sooo intimidated! Almost everyone there had some sort of experience auditioning these past 3-4 years, which made me feel out of place. By the end of the day, I felt like I could've done way better than what I did on stage. It's so difficult to stay in character since it's been a while.
I didn't want to keep my hopes up but, today, before I was able to see the results, people were congratulating me!

..turns out I got Mabel's part and that was exactly the part I wanted! =DD
Now it's up to me to play the part and stay in character.

Oh... and one more thing..

He's Just Not That Into You

rule: n. the customary or normal circumstance, occurrence, manner, practice, quality, etc.
accept (-ion): v./n. to acknowledge, agree or undertake the responsibility, duties, honors, etc., of; to receive as to meaning; understand

Photobucket
I just came back from watching "He's Just Not That Into You" with Mae and Tara. It turned out we watched the movie at 6:40pm instead because we were about 10 minutes late. So for our 2 hour wait, we ate at Islands. THANK GOODNESS!! I didn't want to watch a movie on an empty stomach.

Anyways.. The movie was amazing!!
.. and very very true... Sadly.
I cringed so many times watching the characters as if they were me. It felt like a reminiscence of my past.. like it wanted me to look back so it could slap me on the rear of my head asking, "What the hell were you thinking?!".
hahaha it was pretty funny though. I meant the movie.
I recommend it. ESPECIALLY if you're having dating issues.
I felt a little self-pity for myself during the movie 'cause Gigi's character sort of resembles me. However, (prepare yourself to be spoiled) I don't throw myself at every guy I get a chance with.

Overall, the movie was pretty accurate, affective, true, serious, funny, shameful, and.. Well... You get it.
When that movie comes out on DVD, I might be one of the first people to own it hahah

Oh, and one more thing.. I want to be an acception... Not a rule.

NOW GO WATCH IT!!

Places I Wanna See

cynic (-ism): n. a person who believes that only selfishness motivates human actions and who disbelieves in or minimizes selfless acts or disinterested points of view.
regard: v. to look upon or think of with a particular feeling

I was searching through the web and found this cafe called Lost Souls. I started doing further research on it and found myself looking at a few other cafes in some Youtube video. Then I began to look through a few websites for places in Palos Verdes that I would like to visit someday. Not all of them are mentioned because I had trouble finding the address or direction.
Here are a few..

-Abalone Cove Shoreline Park
-Clovercliff Park
-Lost Souls Cafe
-Stir Crazy Coffe House
-18th Street Coffee House
-The Library (cafe)
-Priscilla's Gourment Coffee

After looking up a few places, I found a few artists that caught my attention. To name a few are Dez Hope, Issil, Mataji and Old Man River.
I love "Signs of God" by Issil and "Bossa Blues Sweet" by Mataji.

Well, I'll be off pretty soon.
There's a 4:40pm showing of "He's Just Not That Into You" at rolling hills..
Tara, Mae and I have been waiting to see this!! (x
I'll give you an overview or review (..or whatever.) after I see it, but for now, PATIENCE.
I need food.

G'day, everyone!

Valentine's Day

Valentine: n. a card or message, usually amatory or sentimental but sometimes satirical or comical, or a token or gift sent by one person to another on Valentine Day, sometimes anonymously.

I was texting my best friend, Joyce, not too long ago about my 1999 CR-V (a.k.a. my baby). Keep in mind I have many babies (my two guitars, my bike, etc.).
Anyways... Apparently my "baby" has a built-in table??
yeah, my mom just told me tonight and the whole time I was like "Whaaaa?! This is absurd!".

My mom said, "Gosh... You've been driving that car for a while now. How could you have not known about it?"
I told her, "Well, it's not like I search through my car hoping to find a picnic table or something."

Now I love my baby even MORE!! =D

Ok, now I'm getting carried away with this. Let's back track.
..Oh yeah! So I was texting Joyce and I told her that I might throw a Beer Pong party next Saturday since my parents will be in Vegas. She texts back asking, "On valentines dayyy?".
In my head, I was like "Oh shiiet! That's right, huh?".
I guess I can say I was pretty bummed out. I forgot all about it because it doesn't apply to me whatsoever. I have no significant other or someone who I'm really interested in. *sigh*
Oh well... That's what I get for being so picky.

HOWEVER!
On the bright side, I'll be playing in Harbor City with Tony and other awesome musicians on Valentine's Eve!!
Contact me for more info, yeah?

Well goodnight y'all!

A First For Everything.

Simple: adj. easy to deal with
Sweet: adj. kind or gracious
Sane: adj. free from mental derangement; having a sound, healthy mind

Hello SimpleSweet&Sane readers!

After how many weeks, I finally created my own blogspot! My internet wasn't working for quite some time but, luckily, it's back and operating once again!
I'll be writing about positive ideas and thoughts because all of the negative ones are trashed in my old Xanga account.... Yes, Xanga. I want to add new words, definitions, and maybe some new facts to make this blog more interesting and, well, a bit educational. So.. If you're actually interested in what I have to say, think, or know, then... Wow.. Thanks! hahaha..
This is my let's-test-this-thing-out blog so I'll be writing a new blog after this but on a different topic.

Chow!
